I always had my suspicions about this 'excellent speaker'. His personal history needed some filling in the blanks, badly. He was raised as a Muslim - maybe? What are his opinions and solutions to the issues that confront the US as the world's protector?
Well we know that he wants to take the states out of Iraq. So what? Every normal American wants it to end and get out of there ASAP. But exactly how and when is the issue. Furthermore to even attempt to state to the world that as of a certain future date, the states will walk away from Iraq would be one stupid move. Nothing like giving your enemies advance notice to help them plan their attacks.
His solution to deal with Islamo Terrorism is: "We must listen to their needs'.
Boy has he got that wrong!
For the rest of the issues he as usual stands on the fence.
But what really makes me sick, is his ongoing fiasco with his former mentor of 20 years, the not so honourable Reverend Wright.
Why are the media pun dents placating him so?
Here's a guy who went to church for 20 years, loved his pastor, considered him his mentor and equivalent to a close family member and even appointed him his spiritual advisor. Until very recently, the most negative comment he could muster for the reverend was that his comments were controversial.
My question:
Why did it take him over 20 years to finally realize that his mentor is really not that great a guy? After all, his mentor condemns America - Check out his 'God Damn America!' speech. The one where he claims that the US infected blacks with AIDS.
When initially pushed to comment on his pastor who was/is good friends with Louis Farrakhan (anti-white, anti-Semite, anti-US, anti-Israel, pro-radical Islam), his defense was that the Rev did many good things. His other laughable defense is that he never heard those speeches that contained inflammatory comments. Now he finally condemns him only because he was forced to.
Obama is either blatantly lying or he lacks judgement. I suspect it's a combination of both. In either case, it's bad news.
The one thing he does excel at, is being a politician.
If he does become the next US president, then unfortunately his buddy, Rev. Wright will be correct: 'God Damn America!'.

Should we boycott the Olympics in China?
That my friends is a personal question that we all must decide for ourselves.
If you feel strongly that China's human rights record stinks or their annexation of Tibet is unjust or you don't want to support a country who is Sudan's largest trading partner or you simply don't want to support a hard fisted communist regime AND that boycotting a huge sporting event held there will send the proper message to change their policies, by all means, do so!
If on the other hand you feel that by boycotting the Olympics in China, you will be destroying an amazing non-political, world sporting event and thereby punishing many athletes from all over the world who have dedicated their lives to this once in a lifetime event, by all means, do not!
I think the problem is with the current process. We have a corrupt Olympic system in place run by a bunch of either totally naive buffoons or on the take committee members who decide which country is going to 'get' the Olympics. I can just imagine the bribery and wining and dining that goes on.
Do you remember when Adolph Hitler's Germany was awarded the Olympics? The premise then was that the Olympics are non-political so it shouldn't matter what the politics are of the host country. Right? Wrong! By giving Germany the Olympics back then, we gave a face and voice to the Nazi's. We instantly legitimized Adolph and his followers.
I think I have the solution.
We need to create a new Olympics for democracies only!
That way we will eliminate a lot of the embarrassing, political goings on every time the Olympics are held. Let China, Russia and the rest of the strong arm countries have their own.
At this point we are all part of a faulty process. We must change the process in order to correct the problem. Boycotting the Olympics will definitely punish innocent athletes from all over the world.
The good news is that it will probably cost China billions of dollars to host the Olympics and they ain't gonna get all of that money back!
Between the recent Tibet fiasco, the cost of jet fuel - the price of air fare, the poor world economy especially in the states and the distance of China from the West and Europe (from where most tourists come from when they go to the event), I really think that the visitor tally will be extremely low.
That said, we still need to ask ourselves:
When are going to stop awarding bad behaviour?!

Should we talk peace with Iran?
I dunno, if a group of murderous thugs knock on your door to discuss how they are going to tear you apart, rape your wife and children and destroy your home, are you going to let them in?
Maybe you should invite them in, offer them tea and cookies and try to dissuade them from those horrific actions. Perhaps after a nice calm discussion, cooler heads will prevail and they will simply thank you for your hospitality and leave. Maybe they'll send flowers.
Or just maybe, you'd not only not let them in, but rather, you'd bolt your door, call the police, get your own gun out, if you own one and get ready for war!
Any other action would imply that just maybe, the house you're in doesn't belong to you and the people in the house you live in are not your family and don't expect any protection from you.
For those of you who think that the Iranian government isn't so bad, feel free to email me at leonkushner@rogers.com and I'll send you a slide show.

FBI Boosts Training in Islamic 'Sensitivity'....
WOW! Instead of spending more effort to investigate the huge number of terrorist acts committed by Muslims world wide and certainly within the US (remember 9/11?), the FBI is thinking: Hmm, maybe we should be more sensitive to their needs.
That's like finding a child predator and instead of investigating him maybe we should do some studies on what kind of kids he prefers to prey on. This is crazy stuff!
If 9 out of 10 terrorist acts are committed by one group of people (read Muslims) then certainly we should spend 9 tenths of our efforts to investigate this one group of people to be most effective. If you wish to call this racial profiling, go right ahead. I call it Common Sense!
Doing anything else would be helping to Turn the World Upside Down!

Is this world upside down or what? The UN
Well, I could write a book about how and why the UN is an abject failure.
Not only does it not help, it actually makes the world a more dangerous place. It has been hijacked by radical Islamists, by crazed dictatorial regimes both on the far right and the far left, by countries with only power and money on their minds regardless of how it's attained.
The sad part in all of this, is that most of the world's few naive democracies still left, don't get it.
And if and when they do, it'll be too late. Our political correctness is killing us, literally.
We need to push our governments to pull out of the UN immediately. Let Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Libya, etc. remain and continue to do their 'important' work. At least we won't be funding them anymore. I'm sure we can put our hard earned dollars to work in far better ways.
Why are the democratic countries still supporting the mess we call the UN?
Simple: We, the citizens of those countries haven't made it clear to our governments that we no longer want any part of it.
We've had enough of countries with some of the worst human rights records ever, running the UN's human right's council. We've had enough state sponsored scandals continuing daily with no consequences. We've had enough corrupt UN delegations partying in New York or wherever they may be, at our expense.
The United Nations (an oxymoron if I've ever heard one) is not doing the world any good. It is certainly helping to Turn Our World Upside Down!
